Hope For Haiti Now-Georgia

Dirty South TV bands together with numerous Georgia Companies to recreate Hope For Haiti Now in Atlanta with some of Georgia's finest Independent Artists. "Hope For Haiti Now-Georgia" is born.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PR Log (Press Release)Jan 24, 2010 – (Press Conference on January 23rd, 2010 at 7:p.m. EST. Video footage on Dirty South TV and YouTube.)

Good evening everyone, This press conference was called to help us get this important heart felt message to "Hope For Haiti Now", George Clooney, our US Government, every independent musician and band in America AND the people of Haiti much more rapidly. Although a copy of this message was emailed to a few hundred various people and companies, I understand how difficult it can be to get an important message to the right people in time. Independent artists, I urge you to forward this message in written or video form to everyone that you can, as this large scale unity will help us prevail quickly. Every single company that calls Georgia home-we are appealing to you for any help or input that you can offer, no matter how great or small. It has been wonderful to see and hear how much love and support many of you have shown for Haiti as an individual company or person, but now is the time to "kick it up a notch". All businesses that Dirty South TV knows or has done business with currently or in the past, we are reaching out to you for your help, love, blessing and support.

I was very touched and inspired last night by what George Clooney, his friends and business associates, Viacom and most of The United States Television networks achieved with their heartfelt thoughts, and I would like to ask each of The U.S. States if they are up to the challenge of reproducing this wonderful event in each state.

It is my firm belief that our artists here in Atlanta and the rest of the great State of Georgia really can take this mission on with ease and show the world how special they are and what they are made of.

So, instead of being competitive, and making a whole new event-which we CAN do-I propose that we just re-do exactly what was done last night with our Independent artists here in Georgia-song for song, This will simply just be the "Atlanta" show, instead of the L.A., New York and England show. Maybe, just maybe, if we are lucky and blessed enough-we can start the trend for all the US states to do their own extension or addition to this, and if we are truly blessed it can even spread to other countries as well. Now THAT would raise some money for Haiti!

I have already made a couple hundred calls to various artists, companies and private people and so far, not only are 100% of them are on board-but they have each suggested another artist, company or person that they feel can help out with this enormous undertaking.

We can really make a BIG TIME impact and raise more much needed money and LONG LASTING attention to Haiti-and with the addition of the other 49 US States and other countries willing to join us and all of their independent artists-things could end up real nice with a massive global showing of the love and compassion that we all in the music business have for Haiti.

I would like to encourage every TV station and Radio station in Georgia simulcasting this along side Dirty South TV, whether they broadcast via cable, satellite or the internet. We could also take this a few steps further if you like and involve ham radio operators and smaller AM, UHF and VHF broadcasting companies and people as well. Imagine getting a call from your uncle "the truck driver" and he's telling you "you're not going to believe this-that concert from Atlanta just came through my CB!". Now that would bring a whole new meaning to reaching the people, not just reaching who might be at home at that particular time.

There are many famous artists of music and acting that call Atlanta or Georgia home-I'm sure "Hope For Haiti Now" would love to get a call from you asking if you can perform, attend or man a phone on their phone bank. Each State has many wonderful people that they can call upon to do this same small task that they would gladly do.

I look forward to having each of you contact us with your blessing, support, love, appreciation and participation. Hopefully, at the end of the 50 months of US benefits, we can all go to Haiti together and reproduce every concert for those wonderful people in person.

Companies and artists that HAVE officially dedicated their time and support for this benefit during the writing of this statement are in alphabetical order:

As you can imagine, we will very shortly receive hundreds of calls and emails asking to add their names to this list. We will try to update this list for the media at least once per day so that they will have the most current information.

In closing, I would like to get THIS message to everyone associated with the "business" of music, please remember these independent artists as you look for tomorrow's stars, as they shine very bright here in the great State of Georgia, and they will shine where ever their tours would take them.

Please email dirtysouthtv@gmail.com for more information or to sign on to help.
