PRLog (Press Release) - Oct 24, 2011 -
"The Jericho Hour" is a hit new entry into the Sports Show world. Based out of the Atlanta, Georgia area, "The Jericho Hour" is Dirty South TV's first foray out of Music Television Shows. The idea behind "The Jericho Hour" is the best of all things that make athletes so great, not only while they're on the field, the court, a track or in the ring--but what makes them such great people outside of sports too.

Episode 1 featured 9-Time World Tag Team Champion Rick Steiner, who now participates in a great deal of community outreach and big-time real-estate with Keller Williams.

Episode 2 featured Jonathan Bloodworth, who has extensive backgrounds in wrestling, boxing and now MMA. Jonathan even helped train his brother Byron Blooworth, who is now fighting for The UFC. Special Note: Jonathan had a fight scheduled in Atlanta, Georgia on November 5th, 2011--but the other fighter backed out.

Episode 3 has Mo "The Giant Travis." Mo Fights out of Knuckle Up Sandy Springs, Georgia-who is a 4 Title holder-3 of which are World Titles and is still undefeated. Mo's next fight is scheduled for November 19th, 2011 in Las Vegas, Nevada against Patti Teran.
2010 World Classic Tournament Champion MTR Bantamweight: 110.1 to 120 lbs.
2010 IKF Flyweight amateur world champion MTR 115lb.
2010 Bangkok title 115lb MTR.
2011 World Classic Tournament Champion MTR Atom weight 110-112 lbs.
11-0 Record in Muay Thai

Tecia "The Tiny Tornado" Torres, A 22 year old from South Florida who currently resides in Atlanta, GA. She is a 3x Amateur World Kickboxing Champion (IKF 2010 Bantamweight International Rules Champion, IMTC 2010 Bantamweight Champion, and IKF 2011 Atomweight Champion). She holds a 3 stripe Bluebelt in Brazilian JiuJitsu. Recently she began her MMA career earning an undefeated record of 2-0. She trains out of Knuckleup Fitness in Atlanta. She was chosen to represent TEAM USA in Dublin, Ireland to compete against the World's best 114lb women at the World Kickboxing Championships. Also on Dec 17th, 2011 she has earned a 115lb MMA Title Shot for the NAAFS Eve of Destruction all female card event. At a young age, Tecia has a long and good future in the sport.
Tecia has never been knocked down in any matches, with one knockout on her record.

"Evan The Interceptor" Oglesby is The NFL's go-to guy when any team needs the best replacement for a corner-back. Evan has played for The Buffalo Bills, The Baltimore Ravens, The Dallas Cowboys and The Miami Dolphins. He is feared by quarterbacks in training camp due to his high interception rate. He is known to make quarterbacks look as if they are not as good as they are supposed to be or hyped up to be. Evan is also a nightmare for wide receivers--he can hang with the best of them, patiently waiting to pounce and intercept. Evan gets shuffled and relocated often as teams need a solid corner-back to fill that important position.

Episode 3 of "The Jericho Hour" is sure to be the best yet with this All-Star line-up of athletes that refuse to lose at their chosen sport, or at the "Game of Life!"!

Eddie Owen hopes to make magic happen twice

LogoOn Monday, October 10th, 2011, the Duluth, Georgia City Council approved a short-term management agreement with Eddie Owen, the owner of  the highly sucessful "Listening Room" Eddie's Attic, enabling him to take over the oft-maligned Red Clay Theatre in Duluth, Georgia and turn it into an music/entertainment destination.

"I’m now a freelancer, I now have wings and I’m looking to fly to Duluth," Owen told the council. "I’ve never ever experienced the infrastructure in place like it is here in Duluth."

Under the agreement, Owen would offer live music at the facility most nights and possibly develop a school that would serve children and young adults interested in the music industry. Owen and city officials are working on a longer-term deal that irons out even more details.

Duluth, Georgia City officials are hopeful that Owen's venture will "increase patron options in Duluth during the ‘after 5 hours' and promote Duluth in new and exciting ways," according to the city's proposal. Owen's pitch prevailed over two other management proposals that called for more theatrical stage events at the facility.

"We believe the live original music venue presents the greatest opportunity," said Chris McGahee, the city's economic development manager. "We should give Duluth and citizens in surrounding areas the opportunity to experience something different."

In recent years, the north Gwinnett County Georgia city of just over 27,000 has experienced a rebirth of its downtown area. City officials said 10 businesses had opened or relocated downtown in the past nine months, including a Pure Taqueria restaurant that started serving customers last weekend.

Owen and city leaders are optimistic that Owen's business venture will do the same for Duluth as Eddie's Attic previously has done for Decatur, Georgia.

Owen opened Eddie's Attic on North McDonough Street in Decatur in 1992. The live-music club and restaurant has launched the careers of several musicians, among them John Mayer, Sugarland and The Civil Wars.

City leaders and local business owners said they are relieved that someone has come in with a plan to revitalize the Red Clay Theatre, which has been a financial drain for Duluth for years. The city has spent more than $2 million since 2004 to convert the building into a professional theater with limited success. In recent years, Red Clay has been unoccupied at times, suffering from problems ranging from inexperienced management to mold.

"Anything that helps the revenue of the city so [taxes] don't get passed on to businesses here is obviously a good move," said business owner Wayne Shirey, whose United Tool Rental shop sits 220 feet away from Red Clay. "It’s a nice building in a great location and going to do something very positive for somebody down the line here."

Tip Sent Back To Prison on bogus violation charge

TiThe word on the street is Tip was sent back to the Federal Prison in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday. Apparently "someone" thought Tip violated the terms of his probation by riding on a tour bus from Arkansas to Georgia.

The facts that we know so far:

Tip showed up on time to the halfway house where he spent last night.
When Tiny (Tameka Cottle, Tip's wife) went to pick him up early Thursday to take him home to finish the remainder of his time on house arrest per the terms of his release from the Arkansas State Penitentiary, no one told Tiny anything was wrong--yet Tip never came out to go home. Never one to sit idly, Tiny went outside to make some calls to find out what could possibly be wrong. No one knew yet, and when Tiny returned back to the halfway house, someone finally broke the stunning news to her.

Numerous family members on both sides are getting phone calls from all over the U.S. asking "what's wrong, where's T.I.? Some relatives of incarcerated people in the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary are saying that they saw Tip arrive there on Thursday, September 1st, 2011.

Word is, Tip will have to serve at least the remainder of his term which would put him in Atlanta until the end of September. We were getting two different dates-September 27th, 2011 and September 29th, 2011. The ankle monitor should have come off on September 27th the last we heard, but somehow the date of September 29th is being brought up.

This is all unconfirmed rumors at this point. Numerous calls to many people in the Tip Camp have gone unanswered, indicating that there could be a problem that they are working on resolving. No response from VH-1 as of this typing. News agencies and radio stations are getting many calls for confirmation. As of this typing, the AP isn't saying anything is 100% confirmed--yet. Well, the AP just changed their tune-- (http://www.accessatlanta.com/celebrities-tv/lawyer-rapper-t-i-1154045.html?cxntlid=thbz_hm).

My one question is this: What kind of lack-of-attorney got paid how much to let this slip-up happen?

Tip, many people are behind you and love and support you. Stay cool and let those excuses for attorneys fix the problem they should have prevented in the first place.

New Artist/Band Development Program Launches in Atlanta, Georgia

Banner

Dirty South TV, the Atlanta-based Music Television Network, has launched their new Artist Development Program. The new ADP will enable artists and bands to get their music, image, presentation and branding all in order to shop to record labels that are looking for already developed and established artists and bands. Due to the lack of funds in these tough financial times, it is becoming a common business practice for record labels to pass over undeveloped artists and bands in favor of those that are ready to "package and sell to the consumer." In the old days, record labels put money into properly developing the artists and bands that they would sign on to their roster. Today's absence of artist development by record labels creates the question "Why do we need the label?" from many of today's still emerging artists and bands. On one hand, the labels still have all of the record stores in place for distribution of their artists' albums; on the other hand, the independent artists can now make their money from their own online album and merchandise sales, not to mention what they can sign and sell at their live performances.

With Dirty South TV's new ADP, at least the artists will have both options to explore, increasing their chance to make it bigger, faster and with less "start-up money from their own pockets."

This new program will be on a limited basis so that each artist or band will have the proper attention that is needed. The formula that Dirty South TV has come up with is "one artist/band per U.S. State," thus having a total of no greater than 50 artists or bands at any one time that they are helping. This way, each artist or band has a better chance of using all of their new tools and contacts to their full advantage and advancement. Dirty South TV explains, "Any more than 50 would dilute the program and render its strengths useless--like everything else that is out there as an option for these artists and bands these days."

Dirty South TV officially announced the signing of two artists already, one from Arizona--Lori Richardson, and one from Georgia--Liz Lee. They also have their sights on artists from Alabama and Florida, and will be contacting them sometime in August 2011.

If you would like to contact Dirty South TV and ask any questions about their new Artist Development Program, please feel free to call (404) 759-0046, or email them directly at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
